 Topic: Paper Type
Basis Weight (80 - 100): Basis Weight is the weight of a ream of paper (500 Sheets) cut to standard size. Standard dimensions for text stock is 25" x 38". Standard dimensions for cover stock is 20" x 26".

Gloss Coating: A heavy coating that gives paper a smooth surface and bright images. Ideal for work with sharp images and vivid colors.

Matte Coating: Matte coating is less bright than gloss finishes and has a duller, softer look. Ideal for work where text readability or the ability to write on the paper surface is important.

PaperStock (Cover or Text):
a.) Text Stock - Text stock includes all equivalent body, book, and offset stock. Category of paper used for books, magazines, catalogs, advertising, direct mail, letters, and other such printing needs.
b.) Cover Stock - Cover stock consists of thick, heavy paper used for posters, menus, folders, business cards, and covers of paperback books.
